The idea was to install three seperate antennas to reduce rain fade.
Orginally, I used a Dish 1000 set up, but running the RG6 meant for the 129 LNB to
a 30" antenna pointed at 61.5 - everything performed well. (except for 110 fading in heavy rain.

-Three antennas installed using DishPro LNB's (two outputs on each LNB)

-Each antenna was attached singly and directly to a VIP211 and performed well with great signal strengths indicated.

-A DP34 was installed with the VIP211 feeding Port 1 and the three antennas feeding the three antenna ports

-Maximum distance involved is 140 ft.

-The receiver, after a CheckSwitch (in Dish 500 mode) saw the 110 and 61.5 antennas for a few minutes and then no longer saw the switch or antennas

-Thinking the DP34 had failed due to low voltage, I fed a new DP34 with an old 4500 receiver (with adapter) to provide some extra juice to supplement the VIP211. I tried feeding the switch with voltage from the 4500 via Port1 and then Port 2 and the VIP211 vice versa. No luck.

-I tried connecting only one or two antennas to the DP34 with no luck.

-The Check Switch function at various times goes into its 38 step mode.

-The satellite status box occasionally displays the first two postions at "TWIN" and the last postion as DUAL. I don't recall ever seeing all three boxes reading DUAL.

Any ideas out there on how to get this project off the ground?

Give up on DP34 and get a DPP44 with power inserter.

Sounds like a bad dp34 switch. It should work with what you have. Done it many times...
