I have a DP721 and DP508. Just installed a DP Quad LNB to eliminate a SW64 that had a couple of corroded ports.

The DP508 recognized the DP Quad right away and is working fine.

I cleared the Switch Matrix and then re-ran the switch test

The DP721 switch test shows

Sat 110 x
Trans x x
Dev n/a n/a

Satellite Input 1 status: reception verified
Switch: No Switch

Satellite Input 2 status: reception verified
Switch: No Switch

I've replaced the existing cables with RG-6/QS and 2.4GHz grounding blocks
I also tried switching ports on the DP Quad, the DP508 works fine on any port but the DP721 won't work at all.


Any suggestions?

yes, connected to port 1 and port 2 on the LNB

Update:



I used the 508 to check the cables going to the 721. The 508 detects the DP Quad on both cables and works perfectly.



Could this be a bad 721?

If you mean 'Factory Defaults' from the menu, then yes, I've done that

called Dish, have a replacement 721 on it's way

Should be here in a couple of days

I got a 522 as a replacement. Good news is that everything works!
