I am a E* customer but am interested in getting DTV in addition to E* for the football season. I only need the sportspack, one DVR on one TV, and a basic programming package. Also, I would like to cancel or go to a minimum payment during 8 months when I won't watch it (January - August) without paying a termination fee. Any ideas on the best way to do that without paying too much?

First DTV usually refers to OTA Digital TV D* is usually used for Directv.

Do you mean NFL Sunday Ticket when you say sports pack for football?

Minimum basic programming is Family Pak with 40 channels $29.99. DVR requires a 24 consecutive month contract with a minimum level of $29.99.

Maybe you need to switch all of your programming to D*.

You could suspend your account for up to 6 months in the off season. But it won't work toward your commitment.
