I recently got a 622 with an HD package, and yesterday I added the local Augusta, GA channels. I've noticed that the locals show up in two places in the channel lineup: 7700, 7701, 7702, 7703, 7706, 7707 and 006-00, 012-00, 014-00, 020-00, 026-00, 054-00. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Standard. IT really is at 7700, etc., but they mirror it to channel numbers that match the OTA channels.

Since most people familiar with the local channel number, Dish maps them to that location to make them easier to find.
