I learned the Hard way that DirectCD by Roxio (have the lastest patches on XP and Roxio) and the equivlant by Nero (inCD) and the built in function in XP do not support DVD-RW. Any time I tried formatting a DVD-RW thru these direct write writers it ended up with around 400MB, not the 4.7GB. I finally went in and used the full package and burned 4.7GB to the DVD-RW. Does this mean while I can use a CD-RW as a E: or F: volume, I can only use the DVD-RW as a "Burned" device. Granted the Burn SW have "Erase Media" so you can clean it up any time. But it would be nice to use the DVD-RW as a E: drive just like a CD-RW
