Loosing sound on hd network channels -- some shows ok -- some no sound. All other channels ok. Generally sound is lost for full show, not in and out. Also no sound on ota network channels -- antenna attached to box. Optical cable to Denon receiver. Picture via hdmi directly to Mits dpl. Frequently on live network shows - sports. Sometimes no sound on network commercials and sound on local commericals. Sound ok on network sd channels No solution yet from tech support. Final answer from DTV is to fully reset the set and loose all settings and all saved on hard drive. Any ideas before I do that. Thanks for ideas.

Make sure you're DVR audio output options haven't changed.
Turn up the volume on your TV. If you don't get sound, your DVR is suspect.
If you get sound, try a different TOSLINK cable and/or a different input on the receiver.
If that doesn't work, try plugging something else (a DVD player for example) into the DVR's TOSLINK input.
If you don't get sound at this point, your receiver is likely busticated.
