All,

Anyone here scour craigslist, garage/estate sales, hit up friends who have D* looking for DVRs to add to their home system?

I don't need another DVR, I've got two HR22-100s in the basement not being used...but I found another HR22-100 for a great price. Called D* and verified that the unit is owned.

Don't need it, but want it...anyone else feel like this?

I really don't understand your logic, or lack of it. You have 2 HR-22s gathering dust and you want another? What is the point? Besides which the HR-22 is the worst POS D* ever inflicted on the public.

No logic, just asking. Again, don't need it but wanted it....but passed on it.

We can't afford to get more "stuff" as it is, movers come on the 10th of July and drive out of town on the 13th.

What I do need to do is call D* to use the Movers Connection.

Not for a HR22 but maybe for a HR24 I would feel that way.

I've never felt this way. But now that I think of it, it might not be a bad idea for me to own a used DVR (or even a non-DVR receiver). By owning it, I would be allowed to activate it and deactivate it on a month by month basis, wouldn't I?

That would be good for me when my sister and her family come to visit. I have a DVR in my main guest room (which is where I have my stationary bike), but there is nothing in the other two guest bedrooms, where the kids sleep when they stay over. Last time that they visited, I setup a DVD players for them to use. Activating DirecTV for a month would be a better option..
