I've browsed thru the Unofficial HR20 Tips & Tricks PDF file, but could find any tips for playback. I hope if someone can share any of the undocumented shortcuts for playback.
For example,
1) Is there a way to tell it to play back from the Begining? I have 5K ReplayTV box, and for this option I do a 0+Previous combination.
2) How to jump 10 mins into the program? ReplayTV uses 10+Select key.

HR20 only has one option of play and it basically acts like a "Resume" if the show has been watched before. It bugs my wife when we both watch the same show but she watches after me. She has to rewind back to the begining manually. Or, I have to FF to the end when I'm done.
It's the toilet seat up or down argument again.

You can use the following commands to do some of what you're looking for:

Hold FF for 3 seconds will skip ahead a tickmark (15 minute intervals)
Hold RW for 3 seconds will skip back a tickmark

Hold the 30 second slip button for 3 seconds will goto the end of the recording
Hold the replay button for 3 seconds will goto the start of the recording

You won't be able to skip to a specific minute in the recording; only where there are tickmarks in the playback progress bar.
