It could be they were deleted because of lack of space sometime over the last 6 months. Maybe you have plenty of space now, but were short at one time and they were automatically deleted by the receiver to reclaim the space. AFAIK, there is no history that goes back over 6 months so there is no way to know for sure what happened to them.
DVR recordings missing or deleted

I went to watch an unprotected movie I recorded about 6 months ago and got a nice surprise. It, and a few others, had been deleted from my list. I didn't delete them, and the Wife says she didn't.
So where did they go? I'm not saying it wasn't us, just that 3-4 recordings are now gone and no one remembers deleting them.
Probably unrelated since it is on a separate partition: 1080P VOD appeared at same time as these problems started.
On a side note, I noticed Spongebob was not on last night because of another program. The timer is for M-F 6-6:30. At 7 the Spongebob movie was going to be on. It had an X in it for some reason. I click on the guide and it takes me to the 6-6:30 timer. So I restored it. It restored, according to the guide, indefinitely on the same channel.
The recording is normally on 2 and I was working on TV1.
I deleted the timer and all is now well, but strange none the less.
I don't know if they are related, but could be.
BTW, there is plenty of recording space available. 20+ hrs HD.
Guess I should protect all recordings?

I can't remember a time we got below 10 hrs HD recording time left. We are pretty faithful about deleting events after watching them.
I thought I read you could check when an item was deleted. Or at least something to that effect?
