Been there since at least yesterday. Latest TLE data as of 29 Aug 9:21 AM EDT shows E8 at 128.88 W.L. with an inclination of .0794, it's perigee at 22228 miles and apogee at 22264 miles. Might still see the inclination come down a bit on later TLE data since most of the other satellites are at .02 or less, but for the most part it looks like it's there! :righton:

Great, hopefully E* will get the testing done as fast as possible and get the bird over to the 110 slot, with luck this will do what E*VII at 119 has done for Puerto Rico and the islands and give us good high fade margin signals from 110.

One could only hope that it goes live earlier than Oct, but that is the mo that was filed with the FCC. I have no doubt it will also be a herky jerky spot turnup just like E*7. As posted here and other forums, who ever designed the spot layout for E* was an idiot. Narrow beams, and wierd coverage.

Johnsmith. The record shows that all SSL satellites are bad to us south of the U.S. border.

Echo VII is Lockheed Martin and those satellites have been good to us.

I hope I am wrong though.

Thanks for the answer. I am just dying to know if E*8's signal will reach Mexico City. :) And so if a signal was on at 129, even if it is some test pattern or something, I would be willing to re-aim a spare dish I have just so I can see what the future holds for me.
