EuroNews (English/French/German) EURNS 784 2 118
Euronews (English/Portuguese/Italian) EURNS 900 14 61.5
Euronews (English/Portuguese/Italian) EURNS 900 7 148
Euronews (Russian/English) EURNS 901 14 61.5
Euronews (Russian/English) EURNS 901 7 148

---
It's like that rumored...

Looks like English track option is present on any of available Euronews channels.. - which makes sense of course, since English being most popular channel anyhow..

This way if any people want to change from their Native Language to English.. they can just do it, on the channel where their Native Language is, i guess :D

EuroNews has secured national carriage in America on Dish Network.

The European news channel became available in six languages on the EchoStar-operated satellite TV provider's lineup this morning.

"We are very pleased to be an integral part of EchoStar's programming," said EuroNews chairman and CEO Phillipe Cayla. "EuroNews is a highly valued service that delivers international news from a unique and objective perspective. With EuroNews on the DISH Network, we trust the channel will attract viewers nationwide and increase the awareness and popularity of the channel in North America."

Prior to the deal with Dish, EuroNews was only available on US TV on Cablevision in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.

Doesn't Globecast count as "on US TV"? :)

..Cuz Euronews is available on Globecast.. in US, for a long long time already...

And.. in ALL 7 languages.. (including Spanish), not just in 6 languages (ALL but Spanish) as on DISH Network Platform currently :D

Just thinking out loud...

a) 7 Languages are available on Euronews... :sure:

b) Globecast (in North America) carries all 7 Languages also...

c) Bell Express Vu (in Canada) carries all 7 Languages as well...

d) What prevents (currently anyhow) DISH from carrying Language #7 (Spanish) on their Platform???

They say Euronews will be available tomorrow, Friday ...

Maybe someone can call DISH tomorrow and try to find out, why the Spanish language is excluded currently...

Something smells fishy about this currently...

I am thinking here... - maybe they are treating Spanish Euronews like some type of "ace in their pocket" .. that they maybe planning to use at the most suitable for DISH future point... :)

Like say when the time is right to announce that they are adding Euronews Spanish in, say, DISH Latino package(s) .. say at No extra Cost ;)

Wishful thinking?

Per Scott's post (over at Satelliteguys.us) - it's reported that Friday's launch of Euronews has been delayed until Tue, Dec 5:

---
"SatelliteGuys.US has just learned that tommorows lauch of EuroNews has been postponed until Tuesday December 5th.

No reason for the delay was given."

---

P.S. Hopefully DISH smartens up and adds Spanish language Euronews as well ;)
