I was about to write "too early to tell" when I received a call from my wife. Less that 12 hours in, I've just experienced the same bug some others have seen as well.markrubi said:Should I bring Elvis to life now or wait for a national tour?
I will watch the posts today and make up my mind tonight. I do like the idea of being able to bring unit back to old version.markrubi said:Should I bring Elvis to life now or wait for a national tour?
EDIT - I am mainly concerned with the bug "Do wish to keep or delete" when trying to view a recorded show. I can get along with the other bugs until they get ironed out.
But don't we have to downgrade to FA?brott said:I was about to write "too early to tell" when I received a call from my wife. Less that 12 hours in, I've just experienced the same bug some others have seen as well.
During a Trick Play (3xFF in this case), the system froze first, then rebooted. My Wife was doing this as I am at work now. However, even if you DO upgrade to 0x115, you can alway downgrade if it is problematic for you.
The current national release is 0x10b which is what you will download if you do it outside the times that Earl posted.tbackus said:But don't we have to downgrade to FA?
No.. 0x10b is the current national release.tbackus said:But don't we have to downgrade to FA?
Thanks, I didn't know if it ever went national or not....Earl Bonovich said:No.. 0x10b is the current national release.
No... no changes to the networking features.Rambler said:So does 115 offer any improvments to the HR20's networking ability?
As for the Keep or Delete... since there is no way to "force" it to occcur... it is a time will tell thing.markrubi said:So does this release seem to fix the keep or delete error when trying to view a recorded show? Has anyone been able to view a saved show which used to be unwatchable in the previous versions?
Out of four programs yesterday, three were corrupted ( keep/delete bug) on my hr20. I did the update last night, the same four are due to record today, two are already done and they are watchable ( I checked), the other two are due to record this afternoon and I'll dang sure check each one as soon as they are done.markrubi said:So does this release seem to fix the keep or delete error when trying to view a recorded show? Craig, Is this REALLY the KD bug? To me, that sounds like you're setting up a simulation of the bug and you get the same result, but the cause is different, isn't it? IOW, when the true KD bug appears, it may very well be because the recording isn't actually there even though it is displayed in the list. But the real issue (I think) is why the recording isn't there (some error by the HR20). In your case, you're forcing it to not be there by manually deleting it. Granted it should no longer be displayed in the list, but from your description of the steps you took, this doesn't sound like it replicates the KD bug...rather it produces the "program not removed from list after being manually deleted" bug. The KD bug, as I understand it, is when you attempt to play a recording for the first time and all you get is the KD dialog. Please explain if you think I'm wrong or misinterpreting your comment. Thanks.Milominderbinder2 said:[/U]KD Bug (Keep/Delete/Negative Time)
[/B]To replicate KD Bug: highlight an item to delete My Playlist & and press PLAY. Press & hold FFW (>>) to go to the end of the program. Press Advance (Skip) twice. You should get the Keep/Delete pop-up. Click Delete. In My Playlist the show you just deleted is still listed! Highlight it and press PLAY. Now the show will have problems: The time in the time bar may be a negative number. You may have no audio. It may instantly pop-up the Keep/Delete. KD Bug still there.
Great questions. I only have guesses for answers.eengert said:Craig, Is this REALLY the KD bug? Yes this happened to me, just minutes after the upgrade completed. In fact I thought what had happened is the D* was doing a manual upgrade for me. BUt I guess not.brott said:I was about to write "too early to tell" when I received a call from my wife. Less that 12 hours in, I've just experienced the same bug some others have seen as well.
