error 750

I'm parked in my RV on Prince Edward Island Canada, with a Motosat SL5 (automatic slimline) with an HR20-100
I have all 5 sats, but can't watch something I recorded off the air, I think in Minnesota, on CBS, as I get error 750 not authorized, the 800 number for DTV won't work here even as a toll call on my cell phone, I've restarted the reciever both by the red button and unplugging? ideas? anyone have a "local" ie US area code number for DTV?

Try disconnecting the satellite dish feeds and then power cycle. I am guessing it’s possible that it sees that you are outside of the DMA and thus it won’t authorize that channel (or any recorded content) to be viewed. If it isn’t connected to the dish, the receiver shouldn’t know it’s outside the DMA and thus allow you to watch all recorded content. It's worth a try!
I think you have to be connected to the satellite and have a signal in order to watch any recorded content so I don't think that will work.

I also recall that d* is not to be used in Canada.
One of the software releases that came out earlier this year allows for viewing saved shows without having to be connected to a dish or have a valid signal. Just press the LIST button once the startup routine gets to “searching for satellite signal”.

Good to know. However, D* terms of service do not allow for use in Canada.
