Just a reminder: If you had ESPN GamePlan last year, but don't want it this year, now is the time to cancel. Once the 2008 football season starts (I think this Saturday) you can no longer cancel. If you had GamePlan last year, you're set up for auto renewal. Call or e-mail Directv this week.

The reason for my concern??? I had already told Directv twice that I didn't want GamePlan again this year (once verbally, once in an e-mail). Yet yesterday I received what looked like junk mail and decided to open it instead of throwing it away. Inside were the words: Simply do nothing and you'll be automatically renewed for another season of ESPN GamePlan on Directv...

Yeah, this is a good reminder, I almost got burned with this once before...

Thanks.

Good reminder, but I'm sticking with it.

Reason: more games in HD... specifically, more SEC games in HD! The Big 11 (why don't they rename that conference already!) has a bunch more games in HD too. I think the ACC, using Raycom like the SEC, will have additional HD. This is going to be a good year of college football for the couch potato fan.

But the Big 10/11 isn't on GamePlan, is it??? I thought now that they have the Big Ten Network all of their games are on either the Big Ten Network or ABC/ESPN/ESPN2. But not GamePlan. That's why I canceled last year... or at least tried to after the season had started.

I canceled last year and they still gave me the automatic renewal this year.
