Bump.. id like to know that as well. ALL the SEC games will be in HD this year will they be shown on gameplan in HD as well?
I wouldn't hold my breath. Many of the games telecast by ESPN (gameplan) don't even have an HD camera on the field. I'm hoping it will get better too. The SEC has been getting pretty good coverage from the networks as it is. I want to see the SEC NetworkGC71388 said:Bump.. id like to know that as well. Probably won't happen with UF signing that deal with Sun Network the other day.davring said:I wouldn't hold my breath. it's not just them having the capacityBrandon428 said:If everything goes well with D11,I don't see any reason why they wouldn't make GP in HD this year.
Thats not a Directv issue, thats an ESPN Gameplan issue. I had GP through Dish the one year I had them, they had each game on it's own channel and when 3:30 hit, you would still be seeing the end of one of the 12 noon games before the 3:30 one started on that channel.ClemTiger said:The video quality on some of the telecasts is beyond awful.
Also, i never understood why DIRECTV was unable to show the start of some games because we were watching the end of some other game.
Doesnt DIRECTV have the capacity where they could put the games on their own individual channel or move them around if necessary? When the ACC JP game ends yet the SEC game is running late and shares the same channel with one of the ABC 3:30 games why don't they move it to the other channel? They run the scroll saying it will be joined at the conclusion of the game. Why don't they just switch it over to another channel and run the scroll saying that?
Could be that ESPN/ABC are not capable of distributing them all nationally.rohenk said:Since ABC will be broadcasting all the games this season in HD, it makes no sense why those games could not be shown on DirecTV in HD. They already have the feed and are showing it in HD to a portion of the country. How does the ESPN agreement for college football differ from the other pro sports packages that have most of the games in HD? Why would ESPN care if DirecTV had a 767 and a 767-1 on the ABC out of market broadcast?
