I doubt it. I don't see why adding the HD version would make any difference.

Technically, there are 37 channels in the Sports Pack, so you will get more than one channel if you subscribe.millertime said:Any chance this leaves sports pack when it goes hd? Its rediculous to buy sportspack for one channel cmon D*
Most of which are blocked out every night unless you have NBALP, MLBEI, NHLCI, etc.QuickDrop said:Technically, there are 37 channels in the Sports Pack, so you will get more than one channel if you subscribe.
You're getting more than just ESPNU in the 'non-RSN' list of channels in the Sports Pack. CBS College Sports, NBA TV, The Outdoor Network, Gol TV, Fox Soccer Channel, TVG and Fox Sports en Espanol are all also available. CBS-CS and NBA TV deliver high definition programming and we'll just have to see if any others jump on board when D11 goes live. It's up to you to decide whether that's worth your twelve dollars each month. It's at least three extra high defintion sports channels -- not much different than adding Starz for four additional movie channels in high definition in comparing the costs.millertime said:Any chance this leaves sports pack when it goes hd? How much professional sports does ESPNU show? Aside forom the nonregional sports channels already mentioned, with the Sports Pack you do get many college games that you wouldn't otherwise get. Though to answer your original question, given the prime real estate ESPN gets for it's other 3 channels, I wouldn't be surprised if they contractually forced ESPNU out of the Sports Pack.sigma1914 said:Most of which are blocked out every night unless you have NBALP, MLBEI, NHLCI, etc.
Because the NFL and NHL have better retrans agreements than the NBA and ESPNUBrandon428 said:They do need to add this to their base packs. The NBA channel too. We have NFL net and NHL,why not NBA?
The NBA SD channel is in their base package. But you have to get the Sports Pack for the NBA HD.Brandon428 said:They do need to add this to their base packs. The NBA channel too. We have NFL net and NHL,why not NBA?
ESPNU mostly show college sports. Hence the U.QuickDrop said:How much professional sports does ESPNU show? Maybe some packing agreement will be made between Disney and D* because supposedly all the major sports games i.e. Football and Basketball on ESPNU will be in HD.Michael D'Angelo;1686030 said:I doubt it. I don't see why adding the HD version would make any difference.

Well, yeah, that was sort of the point.Paul Secic said:ESPNU mostly show college sports. Hence the U.
ESPNU will launch in HD on August 28th. I believe DIRECTV will pick it up that day or very shortly after that.Wildcat said:Do we have any information on when this channel will be available in HD?
Sounds like ESPNU will start August 28....just in time for the first college football games of the season.Wildcat said:Do we have any information on when this channel will be available in HD?
What base package? I have TC+ and don't get NBA SD or HD.mx6bfast said:The NBA SD channel is in their base package. But you have to get the Sports Pack for the NBA HD.
