I don't think swapping it out is going to fix it. I swapped two out an it didn't fix the problem, so it's probably best to wait for the updates to fix the problem.exposfan said:Hi. Should he raise hell w/DTV and/or CC and get it exchanged for another HR20? Or should he just wait out the numerous software updates that lie ahead? It seems that all the problems are software-related, and that exchanging the actual unit will do him no good at all. Maybe some of the long-time posters can give me a definitive answer on this.
BTW, the "problems" he's unhappy with are all related to the unit's unreliability, and its apparent inability to accomplish something as simple as recording a show from the season pass. In other words, we ARE NOT concerned with HDMI issues, OTA issues, etc.
