I finally called DirectTv and told them to send me a non dvr receiver.:eek2:
I had a TIVO unit die in June and they replaced it with an R-15 unit, it didnt work out of the box.
I called them a requested they send me a NEW one not a refurb as the first had been. Well it was another refurb.
It worked marginally and I had to call tech support to get it to function correctly after a reformat etc. That lasted a total of 2 days. OK, I'll forget the DVR and use it as a regular receiver. It completely died last week.:nono2:
Funny thing is when I requested a "downgrade", they were totally flumaxed!:lol:
Took 3 CSR's and 30 minutes to figure it out!
This unit was in our bedroom and I'm really concerned if the TIVO in our living room
goes out as I'll never allow another r-15 near my house. If this isnt corrected anytime soon I will switch to DISH and give them a try.
