Wow kind of funny after a month of hearing bs for 3 different install guys the third guy was able to install with no problem.

Pretty pumped to have the knew experience and i can not wait for football season.

One question i do have is they were not able to install the hd dish, they had to install the standard dish. I have the HD DVR and he connected everything with my HD TV. He said i wont be able to have the HD channels tho, which i would like to have but i can always get it when i move out and into a house so i figured might as well take that install. Is this information correct. I noticed on my tv that i have component 1 which the channels look pretty much hd to me and then AV2 i can also access channels.

If you have the 18 inch dish you won't receive the HD channels as I believe those are all SD channels.

A fool and his money are soon parted!! If you don't have a Slimline dish why do you have a HD receiver? 99 is only 2 degrees east of the main satellite 101 and 103 is 2 degrees west. I guess the squeaky wheel got greased and became happy.

You need to have the Slimline dish for HD. You need to call D* and get another tech out there, you should have not let the install take place without the right equipment.

I'm not allowed to activate any HD equipment unless it's connected to a slimline 5lnb dish.
