Last week I added a 1TB Seagate Freeagent Pro to my HR20. After a few lock ups and blank screens leading to a need to reboot I moved the Seagate out of my A/V cabinet so that it would run cooler. It's been a week with NO PROBLEMS.
I am beginning to be optimistic......

Think he means he had his esata enclosure inside his entertainment center, and removing the enclosure from the cabinet allows better air circulation to run through the enclosure to help the hard drive run cooler.

The FAP's run hot on their own....another excellent reason to use an ANTEC MX-1, and the WD 1TB drive instead...
