Some in this thread, http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=136737 are actually saying that they would leave D* if Dish were to carry the FNC HD before D* does. It got me wondering if others felt the same way, and if so, how many........

I don't know about Fos, but I do know that I want my FNC in HD. Enough to switch, doubtful.

Fox News in HD would be nice, but not much reason to switch. Since I do not get NFL ST, they can shed that also and I will stay.

For me it depends how long DirecTV went without it and if DISH gets it. Two big IF's, but its plausible. Hopefully DirecTV will ge their act together and add some real national HD channels soon, along with FNC HD...Though my life has changed for the better with Planet Green....:nono2:

I don't know what it would take to get me to switch from Directv to Dish -- a lot, I think. My sample may be biased, but I know quite a few people who have switched to D*, but I don't anyone who has switched to Dish. However, the whole deal is probably like the Ford-Chevy argument.

I would wait, but it would stink! I joined Direct TV in 1997 because they had Fox News and no one in my area did.

FNC doesn't matter to me but as a Premier subscriber I can tell you that if Directv doesn't add more HD movie channels and my HD LILs before the end of the year I will probably leave for Dish after football season.

i am more unhappy about them not offering espnu in hd. But I wont seriously consider leaving directv until they lose NFL ST (if they ever do). That brought me to them and no matter how many lil pet peeves i have with them it will keep me there.

I love Fox News but I wouldnt switch if Dish carried it 1st. D* Current HD offering along with the arrival of the HD Tivo boxes (in 2009) is enough to keep me happy with D* for quite a while.

I suppose there are some out there who are news junkies enough to do this, but basing your decision on a single channel like this seems a bit extreme... although I bought my first DirecTV dish in 1994 because the cable company wouldn't carry the SciFi channel :lol::lol::lol::lol::nono2:

I would like to see Fox News in HD but I can wait as even in SD, it is surely be better then what is currently being offered on channel 202.
