Hello...I just went to DirecTV.com and did not see this deal.

All it said was Showtime for less than $7/month for 3 months...couldn't find anything about a Showtime/Starz deal.

Anyone know where I can find this deal?

Thank you in advance!

I can't find that deal either. The fine print in the Starz package says you can get a $25 Best Buy gift card if you sign up.

The DTV telemarketer who called the other day said the deal with Best Buy card was only available over the phone. The company is still doing a lousy job of communicating with us loyal customers via their website IMHO.:nono2:

When you asked, what exactly did the csr say?
There was a pause when the logic circuits kicked in followed by a sinking feeling and then he asked to put me on hold. He came back and said that he could give me starz and showtime free for three months.

The basic argument is why are you giving this away to a more expensive customer?

I also had a bill for $250 due this month which may not have hurt.

I got that email, too. It's a pretty tempting offer. I doubt there is a cancellation penalty after three months, but of course they hope you'll like them so much that you won't cancel.

Or that you'll forget to cancel.

I don't think I would keep either premium channel. I've tried them all but I don't watch movies very much. I would like Showtime just for Dexter but still cant justify 1 or 2 premiums. With 200 channels and tons of ppv why would you want them? When they have free previews of these channels I rarely find anything I want to record.

If you watch that much PPV you should consider a Netflix account instead. Especially if you like shows like Dexter. Netflix works great for me.
