I go to access the criminal minds I recorded last night and the picture comes up but will not play, FF or do anything. I try to exit out of the recording and the unit is frozen. I tried to access this recording 3 times and it locked each and every time. I assume their is no way to save this recording and might as well delete it?

I had a conversation with retention a while back to discuss all of the problems with the HR20 and she wanted me to setup an appointment with an installer. Retention says they will take $5/month off for the next 6 months for me and I said that isnt good enough. She said that is all she could do. So she connects me with the installation dept and the lady laughs and says all the problems you have are software related and their is nothing we can do. She also states retention knows that. I found it quite funny but also pissed me off as well.

I guess I should place another call to directv and complain again.

Sounds like a bad recording, but as always have you tried reseting the HR20 to see if you can access the recording afterwards?

Resetting the hr20 should solve the problem

I had the same problem with my recording of Criminal Minds. I was forced to delete it since every single time I tried to view it caused a lockup.

Samo here w/ the world series game 4... Was watching on the buffer behind the live action.

had it w/ an extra 1 1/2 on the recording but stopped at 11 anyway, after 3 hrs. Tried to record the "next" show from the guide page but all it did is freeze. And went to the Black, "bsod"... The reset did not help. Pita
