It looks that we're starting to see a bit of the underlying mythology this week. Now that this show has gotten a full-season renewal, I wonder if they will continue to explore the possibilities of this episode.
We learned a lot in an hour: There's a guy in a fedora with no hair who is either immortal or ages very slowly. There (was) a guy who can read your mind by shoving things up your nose. Dr. Bishop likes root beer.
This show is beginning to get better, and I like the way the humor gets drier and drier. At the moment I'm glad I stuck it out.
That being said, if they reveal too much too soon, the show will get to the point that X-Files did, where there's so much mythology that the truth could not possibly live up to the hype.
