For reasons I'll never understand, I have now been given the distance networks east and west for Fox. I called Directv and asked about getting distance nets. The CSR told me that they (Directv) would submit a waiver request for me to my local stations, and if approved, I'd be given the distance nets from those networks for $1.17 for each network.
Over the past month, I have received cards from Directv saying that first ABC, CBS, and then NBC had denied my waiver request. Fox approved it, though. While that isn't the network I wanted distance nets from (I wanted CBS), I'm glad I made the call. Doesn't cost anything to ask, and you may be surprised by the result.
