Why can't they look like tonight's broadcast all the time? I don't understand why they have the black bars sometimes especially for road games.
I watched on channel 663 FSD Detroit last night and I thought the HD was some of the best Ive seen all year. No 4x3 here. To me the Tiger road games in HD almost always look better than Tiger home games, and last night was no exception.dettxw said:Was it just me or did last night's game from Chicago look like crap?
Came thru as 16x9 on the MLB channel but picture was full of noise, like it was zoomed SD or something. The FSN Detroit feed was 4x3.
Same here, watched on 663 and it was one of the best PQ games i remember this yeardonkeylips said:I watched on channel 663 FSD Detroit last night and I thought the HD was some of the best Ive seen all year. I was looking at the schedule and seen in July 28-31 they had 4 games at Cleveland. They showed 2 in HD... if they had their equipment there why would they not of shown all the games in HD? Just wondering...dtrell said:because sometimes they dont carry their HD equipment with them, and they only show the game in SD. all of the RSNs do it from time to time.
Yep, I actually called FSN Detroit on opening day because it was supposed to be in HD and it wasn't. The lady made a call to the Houston station and in about 15 or 20 minutes after talking to her it was HD.jefbal99 said:The Tigers significantly increased the number of road HD broadcasts this season, but its still up to the bandwidth gods in Houston if the games will be in SD or HD.
The schedule has been accurate, however, the last two years a bunch of HD games got added towards the end of the season.
FSN (the parent body) has stated their intentions to have all games in HD soon.
Sometime in 2009, I believe the PR said.
Houston FSN Master Control facility decides which games are HD and which are SD. Every game is produced from HD capable trucks, just depends on the bandwidth in Houston.superman24 said:I was looking at the schedule and seen in July 28-31 they had 4 games at Cleveland.
