I'm not sure if this is news or not as I just got my HR20 installed yesterday but I read on these forums at some point that FSN NE was not going to be in HD on D*. But much to my surprise channel 96 is showing my Celtics in HD right now! Like I said I'm not sure if this is news or not but in your chart above in the stickies this channel is not listed. So for all those Celtic fans in the Boston area you CAN watch your C's in HD on D*!

Thank you for the report! I can't be everywhere at once, so I rely on reports like this one to help me keep the lists up to date. I've also heard that HDNet is on in Dallas/Ft. Worth as a RSN... can anyone confirm?

Just an update. Tonights Celtics game is NOT in HD. I'm not sure why this is. but it doesn't seem to be blacked out. The guide shows "to be announced" or something like this. I was hoping to watch the game in HD tonight until Lost comes on. Anyone know why this might be?

The game is on FSN NE channel 620. So I see no reason why the game is not on RSN channel 96 like it was last week.

Have there been any updates about this channel yet? I'd love to see my Celtics in HD tonight but it doesn't seem as though FSN NE has been in HD since the night I made this thread.

The game would only be in HD if the game is actually produced in HD. Are you sure all Celtics games are in HD? Check the FSN website to see the schedule for your team to see.

For example the Red Wings and Pistons. Most if not all *home* games are in HD. But away games are not in HD unless another network like Versus or ESPN has the game in HD. The Celtics are away tonight it looks like so that's probably why it's not in HD.

I checked the FSN HD listing for you:

They don't show FSN New England on the list. Could be the game you saw before was just a test. In any case nothing is upcoming soon it seems. Kinda like FSN-Detroit last year only did a couple games in HD but now this year they are full force. Could be FSN New England is just a year behind some of the others in getting their feet wet in HD.

All of the games are bcast in HD on Comcast. (I think...) Maybe Comcast has some sort of deal with FSN NE???

The chnl 96 broadcast you saw was an NBA LEAGUE PASS broadcast!
D* doesn't broadcast FSN NE in HD like it does other RSN's, at least not yet!

Does anyone have any knowledge if NESN ,which shows all Sox games in HD will eventually be available in HD in other parts of the country?...actually I don't care about other parts of the country just here in Southern CA.

Ahhh... I see. I don't have the NBA league pass and the game was on the RSN channel in the guide so I just assumed D* was bcasting the game in HD for us.

I cant stand the celtics mainly because of their front running arrogant fans [sort of like cowboy fans] but people I respect say the celtics USED to play the game the way its supposed to be played. I am talking about in the 60s. anyway I saw them on comcast in HD last december in a tweeter store so I know theyve been on fsn-ne before. how do I find out just what RSNs are in HD? are these on the newer 99 and 103 sats?

These were FSN NE HD feeds, not League Pass. Unfortunately, lately their home games haven't been on in HD. What gives...or am I the only won that cares?

I just got the HR 20 and thought the Celtics games were always in HD but I guess they are not from what I have seen.
