FXHD Audio Dropouts -- Why Hasn't This Been Fixed??

I am very frustrated. Many months have passed since FXHD came online. From the very beginning users here have reported audio dropouts when using Dolby Digital. You can find several threads with people complaining about this. The only fix is to turn off DD. Now I'm sure that the problem is probably related to only some A/V receivers, etc., but it does appear to me that enough users are affected to warrant DirecTV's technical attention.

Is there anything that can be done (and yes, I've registered my views with DTV technical support on the phone) to get this problem addressed.

There is THAT, and the occasional movie that cannot be watched due to video stutter. My audio problems were not so much dropouts as extremely low volume, that would then blast my speakers away when a commercial came on.
