yes, no, maybe - have seen mixed reports, call and find out, that can always say no.r37890 said:I have an old HR20 that is on it's last legs. I had heard back when, that if you buy a receiver from a third party that Directv will credit the purchase amount to your account when you send back the old receiver. Is this still true?
No...it's an HR20. But I had heard that if you buy a replacement, then send the dead one back they'd give you credit for it.Laxguy said:Are you looking for credit for the HR20, or the H25? -perhaps you mean the HR24... (There's no HR25).
No one mentioned a '29. There is an H25, an H24, and the HRs you mentioned.davidjplatt said:I think you are mistaken - there is no HR29 DVR as far as I know. HR20, HR21, HR22, HR23, HR24 and HR34. I don't think they have produced an HR29.
The OP corrected his typo. It originally did say 29. Of course most knew what he meant. But, for the OP, I have heard of them doing that, but it is not automatic or guaranteed. It's a credit that the CSR gives."Laxguy" said:No one mentioned a '29. There is an H25, an H24, and the HRs you mentioned.
You have to pre-arrange that credit. IF you call them and tell them you have a dead/dying dvr, they will send you a replacement for at most $19.99 S&H...but you have no choice over what model they send you, it could be anything from an HR20-24.r37890 said:No...it's an HR20. then why did I have to send mine back a couple of weeks ago?Brubear said:we are no longer recovering hr20s for refurbishment in most circumstances
As with all things with DirecTV, the answer to any question varies by CSR.wingrider01 said:then why did I have to send mine back a couple of weeks ago?
