Sorry for the additional thread, but maybe we can turn this into a survey.

Who has experienced the problem where you can't pause live tv then play it back where you left off? I wind up at the end of the live buffer, every time it's sitting for more than 10 minutes or so. It's EXTREMELY annoying and I hope they are planning on fixing this in the next software release.

I've tried hitting down arrow or info first, then play, but I've been unable to find a way to get it back to where I left off. Has anyone found a RELIABLE way to do so?

Try pressing pause again, not play.

It is a bug with the current software release.

The pause, taking you to the end of the buffer.
Is your screen saver kicking in?
If so, one "semi-successfull" work around is to hit INFO to get out of the screen saver, and then the jump back button (instead of play) to start the playback again.

I'm not sure if I'm still laughing at what you posted or the fact that we need to continue to come up with workarounds to use the HR20! :lol:

btw Earl, I had the pause issue before the latest update, usually after the screensaver kicks in, just an FYI.

Thanks again Earl, it worked great. I did the following:

- hit info
- hit skip back
- hit play

Seem to work in each case I've tried so far.

I am so ticked off that we have to come up with "workarounds"... not to mention wasting so much time on here everyday to learn what the latest one is. I want my old HR10 back.

I'll have to remember this one. We ran into this issue when we got a phone call while watching Lost last night. Normally not an issue for us, but Lost is the one show we can't wait to watch since everyone talks about it at work the next day. lol
