Getting searching for signal with SWM8

My buddy has an SWM8 and now he's getting the 771 error when he uses it. He gets the green light in the PI and when he plugs the receiver into a line going to his other multiswitch, all is good. Any thoughts or suggestions? If needed, is there a place to send these for repair? It's only a few months old....

how many connections into the SWM and how many tuners connected to it. (a DVR or HD DVR counts as 2)
One connection (two tuners), to an HR20.
Many questions......

Remember that each tuner needs to send a signal [@ 2.3 MHz] to the SWM for it to then output the correct channel on the "SWM channel".

We need "much more info" of the setup to be of any help.

if i remember correctly 66stang had a very similer issue with his HR20 or the H21. i believe he found out it wasn't the SWM at all. it was the HR's ability to see the SWM.
Tfed,

here's a post he had about his issue it was infact the HR20 not seeing the SWM5. does anything in his post seem like the same issue as your friend is having?

"To add":
I've had a receiver that wouldn't work on a "non-SWM" system, but worked fine for a year+ on a SWM.
thanks guys. I will forward on for more info.
