How can anyone confirm they have the recordings or tell you what they are for if you don't let us know what the program is?
I really didn't think the specific show mattered. For the record, however, the show that keeps getting recorded is "The Dan Patrick Show" on Ch. 239 (AUDHD).RunnerFL said:How can anyone confirm they have the recordings or tell you what they are for if you don't let us know what the program is?![]()
How else would readers be able to confirm the same recordings you're talking about?kram said:I really didn't think the specific show mattered.
I remember posts a while back mentioning failed recordings of The Dan Patrick show by a user who had not set them up. You should be able to find that thread by using the search feature here.kram said:For the record, however, the show that keeps getting recorded is "The Dan Patrick Show" on Ch. 239 (AUDHD).
Manual recordings are for specific channels for a specific time period, e.g. if you just wanted to record Jay Leno's monolog rather than this full show.kram said:Also, what is the purpose of Manual recordings??
Thanks.
I did a search on "Dan Patrick" and found only three other threads that mentioned that show. Two of the threads were totally unrelated. The third was the thread you referred to, and is not really the same situation as mine. (His situation was about series recordings: His receiver recorded old Dan Patrick shows when it was set to record only new.) My receiver is not set to record any series. So, I still don't know where the Dan Patrick recordings came from.RunnerFL said:I remember posts a while back mentioning failed recordings of The Dan Patrick show by a user who had not set them up. He used to be on ESPN.kram said:I still don't know where Dan Patrick came from.
Your reply really has nothing to do with this issue. But thanks, anyway.spartanstew said:He used to be on ESPN.
Yep, for sure -- no one lives here except me! How do I "dump the cache", and does doing so have any adverse affects?wahooq said:do you know for sure that no one EVER setup a recording for that show? sometimes even canceled shows still show up untill you dump the cache
No adverse affects...simply do a menu reset receiver twice in 30 minutes...it will take approx 24 hours to reload the full guide for 2 weeks , posters...etckram said:Yep, for sure -- no one lives here except me! How do I "dump the cache", and does doing so have any adverse affects?
Thanks.
The installer actually did this on 6/25, when I upgraded to Whole Home. And I just examined the History list more closely. It appears that the Dan Patrick recordings (and also a few Conan recordings) have occurred only since the 6/25 upgrade. It's my guess that the installer did something, but I have no idea what. So, I'm in the process of doing the 30-minute double reset. Is that the same as clearing the NVRAM/cache?wahooq said:No adverse affects...simply do a menu reset receiver twice in 30 minutes...it will take approx 24 hours to reload the full guide for 2 weeks , posters...etc
What is IDK? How do you flush the cache?"wahooq" said:to flush the cache....IDK....might work
