Gilat Inks Intelsat Deal

Gilat Satellite Networks won a contract from Intelsat to provide broadband satellite communications equipment and services. The deal amounts to $10 million, and extends through 2003. Intelsat will purchase equipment from Gilat's U.S. subsidiary, Spacenet Inc. Intelsat initially plans to use the technology to provision satellite-based broadband connectivity to service providers in Latin America.
