I believe that it is against Canadian Law to receive DIRECTV programming in Canada.
Going to Vancouver BC for 4 months
Not sure if this is illegal or not, but I live in Los Angeles and am going to be going to Vancouver for work for about 4 months. Can I bring my DVR and dish to get local channels? Anyone had experience with this?

You can do it, don't plug in the telephone line. I take my box from NJ to North Carolina and Ontario.
