A story that warms the heart!
It's kind of funny now that I work for a TV studio that owes its existence to the local cable system. I don't work for the cable company, but the studio is funded by the "franchise fees" charged by the city. Most cities pocket this money rather than use it for what it was meant to be used for. Fortunately the community in which I live and many neighboring communities have chosen to fund real honest to goodness public access studios and given them the budget to properly train volunteers.
Anyway, when I was filling out my paperwork to start working (rather than doing it for free as a volunteer) the fact that I had a dish came up. The executive director (a man I consider a friend) laughingly said "We don't like those here!". I laughed along with him and informed him that I had basic calbe for JUST such and occasion.
BTW if you want to put a face to the bad typing and grammar...www.waycross.org
