I have read a number of the threads with suggestions for ground mount pipe, but asking questions is what we are here for, and I want to make sure I'm not wasting dough. So, has anyone used this stuff?

Saw it at the local Home Cheapo it is A53A Schedule 40, 1-1/2"
I measured the O.D. at 1-15/16" but at minimum it could be 1-7/8"

If I had a dish mount available at the moment I would take it into the store and size it, but I don't

2" OD is the correct size you need.

2" OD, which you typically cannot get at Home Depot or Lowe's. I've heard people suggest either heavy duty tailpipe from a muffler shop, or pipe for chain link fence.

I reused an almost 2" OD pipe from a fence.
I had to wrap some aluminum flashing around it to bring it to 2".
The DirecTV installer didn't have a problem with it.

I used a pipe adaptor from Solid Signal.

I think that's the one. Just went out and looked at it and that looks like the one.
There's a third bolt on mine for a ground, but I believe the installer did that.

Ok, so it is meant to fit over 1-1/4" SCHD 40 I take it.
