I have a H20 600 receiver. I can not use the channel up or down on the remote, nor does this work on the unit by pressing the up and down arrows on the front of the receiver. When I press the up or down arrow on the remote I get info about the channel and show. I have tried a reset by pressing the red button on the front of the unit and I have also unplugged the unit for a while and plugged it back in. None of this worked. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like its time for a new reciever and remote.

If you want to try reflashing your software, hit the red button...as soon as it comes back on with the first boot screen, type 02468 on the remote...it should come up and say "Found new software" and proceed to reinstall its software...this might fix your problem. If not, I'd say the receiver was shot.
