H20 Component Cables?

1274 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Mertzen
I opened the H20 box that was just delivered and the manual says component cables and an S-video cable is included. There is no S-video cable to be found in the box and I assume the very tiny gauge cables with RCA plugs colored red white and yellow that are in the box are composite audio and video cables and I'll continue to believe they are composite until someone familiar with the H20 tells me differently. The manual doesn't say composite cables are included but that's what they appear to be. I have several sets of component cables and their RCA plugs are colored red, green and blue or marked Y, CR, CB or YB, YR or similar designation......these cables are not labeled whatsoever. Does someone know if these are composite or component cables I'm looking at? Thanks.

notnufbw.....
What you're looking at are, indeed, COMPOSITE cables....the COMPONENT cables are the red/green/blue (YPbPr) ones....
FYI...the 2 H20s I purchased nearly a year ago DID have (albeit somewhat "cheap"....) COMPONENT cables included; I've never used them, opting for HDMI and TosLink audio.....
Both the H20 I purchased and the replacement unit I received included 6-foot component video cables.
Okay, thanks, I'll use my spare component cables until I get an HDMI cable.
THe H20 that I had installed yesterday came with component cables in the box and the installer also brought along an HDMI cable for me. ;)
