On my older LG HD STB there is a switch on the back if you use the DVI connection. It switches between the component connections to the DVI connections.
H20 DVI Problem
I tried hooking up a new Samsung LCD to my Samsung SIR-TS160 (which has long been replaced by H20 and then HR20 as the primary receiver) via the TS160-supplied DVI cable, with a DVI-HDMI adapter. The TV was unable to find a signal through this connection, although it works perfectly with a component cable. This is not a huge problem; I'm happy with the component connection. But I'm wondering why the DVI-HDMI hook-up didn't work. Has anyone experienced this type of problem with the TS160 (which, by the way, gave me more problems than the HR20 ever has)?
