Yes, you need a second coax line back to your dish/multiswitch for the second satellite tuner.

I ask because I'm a new customer and have the non-DVR HD box setup for installation next week. I'm on the waiting list for the HR20, so should I have the installer to run two lines from the dish even though I only need one right now?
Thanks in advance for any info you can give me!
What happens to the H20 when the HR20 comes in? If you are keeping it in the same place with the same TV, you might consider the installer running three coax lines from the dish, one for the H20 and two for the HR20. If you are moving it to another room, you might ask the installer to run two lines there (one for satellite, one for OTA), although he will likely decline unless you add some additional incentive. Disregard the advice regarding the 2nd room if you don't mind a 2nd install or obviously if you are ditching the H20.tibber said:Welcome to the forums! :welcome_s
Are you close to your local stations' broadcast towers? Or will you need something bigger than rabbit ears to receive the Over The Air (OTA) signals? If you need a bigger antenna, have the installer run 3 coax. 2 to the sat. and 1 to where ever you put the antenna.
Glad to see you're thinking ahead of the game!
