So as you can see in the title I called CSR today to "upgrade" from an H21 I have in the master Bedroom to the DVR HR2* (since I don't know which one I will get).
The CSR was obviously happy to do it for another $99 charge and a service call for $29. I have the protection/service plan should he have charged me the service call?
And the second question is he said he has to send the tech out to my house to install it.... I was like wait a minute, I installed my own SWMLine dish I think I can do that, why send someone out. Just fedex me the new HR2*. He tried, but he insisted he needs to send someone out.
What do you all think I should do? Wait until SEPTEMBER 25 (a whole month from now) for them to "install" (drop off) the HR or call back CSR and insist they mail it. Also what are my "rights" with the protection plan? I take it it doesn't cover upgrades?
