I've recently had issues with two H24s which suggest that the HDMI hasn't quite got enough "oomph".

One box (H24-700) is feeding a TV via the Monoprice HDMI over Cat 5 wallplates - HDMI out suddenly stopped working. Replacing the plates didn't cure it, but plugging in an external 5V supply restored normality.

The other one (H24-100) has become intermittent - it feeds over straight HDMI cable (about 25'). Replacing the cable would be a pain (it's in the wall), so I'm thinking swapping it for an older box (H21-200) located elsewhere in the house might be the answer. Any thoughts?

Did you use a hdmi repeater with a 5v power supply?
