I'm not sure if my mind was playing tricks on me (and I ran a test case to confirm), but I believe that I was watching a show on the H25 and mid-show I pressed the record button because I wanted to show an upcoming segment to my wife.
When I looked at the list (remotely since it recorded on the HR24), I was surprised to find that the HR24 had gone back to the BEGINNING of the show I was watching on the H25 and recorded the whole thing. I had been watching the show since the beginning even though I only pressed record mid-show.
It was as if the HR24 was monitoring what I was watching on the H25 and preparing to record it in case I wanted to do that. The HR24 was inactive at the time so maybe one of the tuners was keeping and eye on what was on the H25 just in case?
Dumbfounded, I ran a test and it seemed to do do this same feature again? This was a week or so ago. Apologies if this is a known feature or been discussed before, but I can't recall this happening in the past and concluded it may be a feature of the new software on the H25 / HR24?
Well FWIW when I called directv a few days ago about the c31 I happened to ask if there was any possibility that the H25 could be made a pseudo client and to my surprise the guy said "they are working on it". I started a thread on this very thing, but as i suspected it seemed a little far fetched.
He was just your run of the mill CSR but he did seem smart on things because he knew exactly what I needed to activate my c31 clients as well as talking about other directv things.
Maybe this has something to do with that? I haven't checked but is there new SW for them recently by chance?
