adding an HR21 receiver to a tv with a built-in DTV tuner? Having trouble using remote and believe there is a conflict between the two. Thanks for any ideas!

Do you mean something with a built-in DIRECTV tuner, like the Fliptop? Yes, I could see remote issues there. If you go into setup the remote you can tell either to use code #2.
