Does this appear anywhere on D*'s website?
is this offer on there website at all? Could someone post the email here?
I got the email too but can't find it now.

It's available through the website, I found it under the "Add Premium Channel" tab.
Yes, it is on their website under the Add Premium area.

It shows up as $25 for HBO/Showtime and in the terms it says you get X amount credited back.
Wish it was HBO & Starz... but oh well... added it anyway.... Thanks for the info! :)

I already have HBO. So when I go there and add try to add a premium channel I get showtime for $7 or less per month for the next 3 months. How am I supposed to know what I am exactly signing up for?

In the fine print it says it is for new subs of HBO and SHO only. Maybe you can cancel and sign-up again?

That's exactly what I did with the Starz/Showtime. I canceled Showtime via the webpage and then signed up for the promo the next day.
They called me at home around 8:30 last night and badgered me about this deal... Wouldn't take no for an answer either! I finally just told the girl "look for the last time I'm not interested, thank you" and hung up on her. Never seen such a pushy cold sales call before!

I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. She would have been wasting time with me because I have no use for the premium channels!

Same here, but it came up on the caller ID as DirecTV and I just had a R15 die a couple weeks ago that was replaced and I sent mine back, so I just assumed it was something to do w/ them not receiving the dead box or something and I answered.

I tried to tell her I have two small kids, a full time job and part time job/hobby so she was wasting her time because there was no time for movies and crap, but she persisted until I more or less hung up on her!

I used to enjoy the movies on the premium channels-and if they still ran some of those great movies from the 70's and 80's I'd jump at these "2 for 1" offers.

But the studios' idea of what is entertainment today isn't the same as my idea of what is entertainment. Heck, the top box office movie last weekend was "Beverly Hills Chihuahua"!!! What a joke. Even Leno was snickering about it Monday night during his monologue.

I still have a dozen movies (never watched) on my DVR HDD's from TWO free previews ago. ;)

I don't think you need to wait a day. I just removed HBO from my setup. Then I logged out, open a new browser session and logged back into DirecTV. I was then able to add the 2 for 1 package.
You don't even need to log out. I removed starz and showtime and was able to add hbo/showtime.

True, but in my case I wanted to make sure my grandfathered package wasn't effected so I wanted to call in to add the promo. Since I canceled Starz late at night, it was just easier to wait and call the next day.
did the same here. removed showtime and added hbo/showtime.
Hmmmmmm . . . I already subscribe to all the premiums anyway, but I might have to look into it.
