I already have HBO. So when I go there and add try to add a premium channel I get showtime for $7 or less per month for the next 3 months. How am I supposed to know what I am exactly signing up for?Grentz said:Yes, it is on their website under the Add Premium area.
It shows up as $25 for HBO/Showtime and in the terms it says you get X amount credited back.
In the fine print it says it is for new subs of HBO and SHO only. Maybe you can cancel and sign-up again?gcisko said:I already have HBO. That's exactly what I did with the Starz/Showtime. I canceled Showtime via the webpage and then signed up for the promo the next day.cjever19 said:In the fine print it says it is for new subs of HBO and SHO only. Maybe you can cancel and sign-up again?
I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. She would have been wasting time with me because I have no use for the premium channels!jfosut said:They called me at home around 8:30 last night and badgered me about this deal... Wouldn't take no for an answer either! I finally just told the girl "look for the last time I'm not interested, thank you" and hung up on her. Never seen such a pushy cold sales call before!
Same here, but it came up on the caller ID as DirecTV and I just had a R15 die a couple weeks ago that was replaced and I sent mine back, so I just assumed it was something to do w/ them not receiving the dead box or something and I answered.rustynails said:I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. I used to enjoy the movies on the premium channels-and if they still ran some of those great movies from the 70's and 80's I'd jump at these "2 for 1" offers.rustynails said:I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. I don't think you need to wait a day. I just removed HBO from my setup. Then I logged out, open a new browser session and logged back into DirecTV. I was then able to add the 2 for 1 package.spartanstew said:That's exactly what I did with the Starz/Showtime. I canceled Showtime via the webpage and then signed up for the promo the next day.
True, but in my case I wanted to make sure my grandfathered package wasn't effected so I wanted to call in to add the promo. Since I canceled Starz late at night, it was just easier to wait and call the next day.Gweeto said:I don't think you need to wait a day.
