Before converting to the HD Platinum program package last fall, I had been an annual subscriber for years. Dish got 12 months payment upfront and I received a price reduction. The last time I called DISH Cust. Service, they still have no annual prepay plan for the HD customers. How about it, DISH!

I think dish may be out of the YEARLY packages(prepaid) alltogether. especially with the New customer and upgrade deals that REQUIRE COMMITMENTS. As a long time Existing customer like me you probally owned your equipment or if leased have fullfied any prior commitments so they continued to offer you a Yearly price but at some point a while back as equipment that could be easily bought in stores went to more leased based the year in advace was scaled out to NEW customers and also those who UPGRADED. When you switched you were STILL an existing customer but most likely got the upgrade resulting in A contract so theres no need to offera discount you are sorta locked in and Not sure if this is 100% the way it is now but its my thoughts and Dish no longer has reference to YEARLY pricing that I can find anywhere on there site~

As dynamic as the HD programming market may be, I'm sure they want to retain the ability to subdivide the HD offerings.

I too for many years paid a single yearly price for the everything package (top180, all movies) and HD. I paid monthly for Voom and locals (I don't think these were ever offered on a yearly basis).
Just this week I took the plunge and upgraded my 942 to a 622 and can confirm that at least 3 CSRs told me there wan no longer any yearly option for the new packages.
