I intend to take the HD plunge in November. Assuming that Dish continues the deal for upgrading to DishHD, I would be looking to upgrade. I have read through most posts here and am a bit confused as to if I need to change my present dish configuration. I originally installed both my 110/119 Dish 500 and another Dish 500 pointed at 61.5 (originally for the Chicago locals). Reading the posts here I’m not clear on if this is all I need, or do I need to re-aim the 61.5 to 129?

Also, is there a manual posted somewhere for the ViP-622?

Yes, you need to re-aim. Chi-town HD locals are on 129.

dakn2 - you'd be better off reading the reviews that we wrote for the 622 and the 942 receivers, stickied at the top of their respective support forums here. Start with the 942 review that I wrote last year, as it covers all of the interface functionality with pictures, then read the 622 review that covers the differences between the 2 receivers (the interface is the same).
