Long time lurker, but I couldn't get a clear answer to my problem, so first post.

I applied for waivers for distant networks. I live about 120 miles from the nearest market and Directv doesn't even serve them (Amarillo, TX). I was granted HD waivers for Fox and NBC, SD waivers for CBS, PBS, and CW, while ABC said no to both hd and sd.

My question is this: What channel(s) do I need to tune to in order to get my channels? CBS works on 380 and 381, but FOX and NBC don't work on either the 82/88 or 382/388 channels? Those are the HD East feeds which, according to Directv's waiver form, I qualified for. Do I need to call DTV? Or reset the receiver? Or am I on the wrong channel?

Mainly I will use the networks to catch football games, especially the playoffs as the Sunday Ticket doesn't include those, but the wife would like to see the Office, 30 rock, etc in HD.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

NBC East HD is 392 as I get that channel. The channels you listed (82/88 and 382/388) are probably the SD versions of Fox and NBC which you did not qualify for. I believe all the HD DNS are in the 390s range but I'm not exactly sure which channel Fox HD is as I don't get that one.

Do you get all the programs or just the ones that are HD?

I get channel 392 (NBC East HD) 24x7. If the show on at any given time is HD, then I get it in HD. If the show on at that time (Biggest Loser for example) is SD, then I get it in SD.

Well 392 didn't work while I was on my lunch break, so I'll try again tonight and give DTV a call.

It didn't come through right away for me either until I called them and they reauthorized it. In fact I was getting CBS East HD on 390 at first even though I was qualified for it.

I qualified for NBC and FOX East coast HD. I view them on 82/88, they are definitely HD. Although, I haven't tried the 3xx channels.

I have been approved for ABC, NBC, PBS, & CW. ABC & NBC are SD locals and I get them for the east and west coast. They are channels 382 & 282 for NBC and 386 & 387 for ABC. Check all your channles between 380-400 to see if you can find your missing locals you have been approved for.

I'm having a heck of a time getting HD feeds, nbc granted east feed only and fox/cbs/abc keep denying me.
my locals are sd only.
looking at trying the RV waiver, waiting to see what the affadavit says before I finalize.

2 calls 2 csr's 2 different answers. I hope to get something done, but both have told me to wait either until I get a waiver in the mail, or 30 days until the waivers clear. The second time I had a better more willing csr but he was looking at the sd channels not hd. Here's hoping tonight goes better.
