My cousin just had Dish installed. He gets his standard definition local channels and HD locals are available for Chattanooga now. They said only CBS and Fox are available now though. Didn't give a timetable if the others would be coming or not.

I don't know which dish they installed, but he said when he called tech support they said he had a dish that was integrated and should be able to pick up the sats for the HD locals for Chattanooga.

Dish Tech Support said he should be pointing toward 77, 72.7, and 61.5...but he is actually pointing toward 119, 129, and 110.

Does anyone know if he will have to have a second dish for the HD locals in Chattanooga or if he can get them on the dish he has now by just pointing at the locations they say he should be pointing at?

With their being only 2 channels in HD right now...he didn't know if it was beneficial to have a second dish installed unless they were to add more locals in HD to that same satellite.

If and when other HD locals from Chattanooga are added, they will be on 61.5 as well. If he adds 61.5 now, he will get the additional channels as soon as the are added. If he waits till they become available, he will have to wait for the new dish before he would see them. I don't see why he should deprive himself of the two channels while waiting for any others.

Do you know if a second dish will be required or if by pointing at the other satellites he is suppose to be pointing at will allow him to get them with just one dish?

Dish said 77 and 72.7 just mirror the programming found on the other satellites he is currently pointing at.
