HD Locals Error 771

Yup, I've been seeing this all week, as well.

It did seem a little better this morning. I'm thinking that there's a DirecTV problem that's causing it.

I believe your local HD's are on 103(s), so you should have at least one 103(s) tp in the 90's, with the rest all over the lot.

I also noticed it in Brunswick this week. I couldn't get a signal at all Tuesday morning on and of the locals.

Same here lately, too. Most noticeable on WFPO 23 and WGME 13. (I do watch those much more than 6 or 8.)

My current dish was installed in Sept. 2006, so my assumption was that the trees in my yard are growing. I called DirecTV and have a service call scheduled for next week.

Today I get a call from DiercTV (automated message) saying that there has been a "weather related event" in this area recently and asked if I would like to cancel or keep my appointment. That call was before I read this thread, so I am keeping the appointment.

• The weather has been clear, so I know of no "weather related event".
• I thought sun caused problems are in October.
• What satellite & transponders are the Portland / Auburn Maine HD Locals located?

I didn't know Directv was available in Canada.

I get the 771 error on HD channels a few times a week. I have not seen this on local HD channels yet (Rochester, NY).

DirecTV Serviceman came, re-aligned dish, signals were okay, trees were not a problem, yet.

Starting yesterday, Sept. 29, getting 771 every 5 mins., for about 5 secs. each time.

Fortunately, I get 3 out of 4 Locals via OTA on my HR20-700, but no OTA on bedroom TV.

Same here in southern Maine...........problem just started in the last week or so..........

This might be something related to the move of the Portland HD channels to DirecTV11, which is planned to happen tomorrow. People in Providence RI which also moves to DirecTV11 tomorrow have been reporting problems also.

Having issues too, I posted in another thread, getting the intermittent 771, comes up for 3-4 seconds then picture and sound comes back just fine, been happening for the past week or 2. Portland Maine locals here as well.
